With the Africa Twin on the way to Brazil and the Access headed the other way to Poland, we were left without wheels and a little lonely… We’re in ‘backpacker mode’ now, relying solely on trains, buses and taxis. It’s definitely a bigger strain on the budget and a lot more restrictive!

Two nights in Marrakech and we were getting desperate. Trying to cope with the crowds and the noise, having gotten used to the solitude of the Sahara, was difficult. During the two night stop in Nouakchott we rested a bit and did some servicing on Iza’s bike. We replaced the worn out chain and a lost ‘kicker’ for the kick starter, re-welded the cracked engine guards, re-attached the exhaust to the engine and tightened some more loose screws.
