Chile & Bolivia- volcanoes
June 17, 2010 2:18 pm 58. Chile, 59. Bolivia, 60. PeruAfter Machu Picchu and Cusco, we had already enough the tourists attractions. We decided to enter Chile for a few days. In South America it is much easier than in Africa. Here there are no visas to enter the country and there are no wars or conflicts. So you can ride everywhere. Sometimes we have a feeling of being on the holidays not the hard travelling. So here we go - Chile again. We have been riding through the mountains for a few days. The winter is coming, so it is freezing during the night. In the morning it was -5C inside the tent, so certainly it was -12 outside during the night. Bikes were frosted, we didnt have any water, as it was frozen. We had dismantle the bottle to dissolve the ice for tea! But the landscape was amazing…Once we set up our camp, literally 5 meters from the hot springs. It was 35C inside the hot springs, outside just below the zero…
